I am a beginning scrapbbooker and I am looking for ideas to create a scrapbook for a book my brother just published. It is a story about his growning up in the 50"s and I want to take descriptions from the book and display the photos that the words describe. I have people and places but not sure if I should keep a common theme around charachters/settings or if this is too limiting. Anyone have experiences with this ideas.....I am organized and have the pictures and descriptions from the book....HELP!

Are there any other retreat scrapbookers out there? I just went to this place in New Mexico. Dream Weaver Lodge. I've been on MANY scrapbooking retreats and this was by far the best. First of all, their workshop is amazing! The have all the tools you'd ever need so you don't even have to pack tools. The tables are large and the lighting is great. Plus, they have a little store with lots of basics but also neat things that are hard to find in other stores. The rooms were really cute and comfortable. The retreat I went on was all-inclusive and they really go all out on the food. The owner's husband is the chef- there should really be more men in the world like this! The owners were really cool. I told them I was a CTMH consultant and they said I could organize a retreat for my customers and that they would close up their store so that I could sell my stuff. So I'm planning a retreat in the fall. The lodge is in Chama, NM up in the mountains and the scenery is gorgeous. Maybe the aspens will be changing when we go back. I'm actually going to stay an extra day so I can ride the scenic train the town has. I'm recommending this place to anyone who loves a good retreat- they really take care of you. Oh yeah- and the price was amazing. Like I said, it was all-inclusive for the weekend. So 2 nights, excellent workshop and meals for $200 per person. And if you organize a retreat and bring people to the lodge they give the organizer a discount. check it out! www.dreamweavernm.com
