Cricut

All about the cricut. The cricut has a USB port that is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation. Information on the website talks about a future use to be able to interface with a computer for enhances functionality. That would be a great feature to add to this system. Since the wishblade has come out, I think it would be wise for the cricut to offer or beat the functionality of that system.

Does Cricut design a cartridge where you can design your own design and cut it out without having ALL the catridges involved. I thought Design Studio would allow me to do this, but I haven’t been able to do so with it? Can anyone answer this question for me? I have the Cricut Expressions machine.

There is a new thing I found the other day. It is basically a software program that will let you do your own designs and will work with you Cricut, but I haven’t tested it yet (am going to though!). Provocraft won’t be happy about it, because if it works well then there won’t be the need for all the cartriges. Here is the link to the page about the other software. You can read all about it and see examples of what people have done.

There is a web site that is renting Cricut cartridges like Netflix does for movies. Shipping is included in the monthly price and no late fees. They mail the cartridges out. it is http://www.crabbycrowcricutrentals.com.
Might be a good way to use cartridges that you want for just one project.
